It's obvious having grown up in the community that Dave's is here to stay. The only other competitor in business as long is Ray's. All the other shops have been re-branded re-managed or just closed. A solid sign of a great local family run business is the fact it is still around!

It is super easy to get to look for the lit palm trees :)

Service; oh my lord talk about nothing but honest mechanics in the shop. It's a tight knit group of the friendliest mechanics who take pride in their work.

What I loved about my repair experience was the philosophy of the business. Cars are like medical patients, sure another shop in town might write a prescription or worse dig into an issue without diagnosing the symptoms.

It's kinda funny these people are mad about the 'price constantly changing'. I think they are use to shady shops or don't know the cost of responsible ownership. It is constantly changing because these guys don't skimp.

Competent enough but felt I was being upcharged. Also I felt I was being talked down to by the actual mechanic when inquiring about details on the car. Treated me like I was an annoyance.

They've always been up-front about costs and delivered the promised experience. It is always tough to have to take your car in to be fixed, but Dave's Auto has always given us top-notch work, and made unexpected car troubles a pleasant experience.

These guys are great! The customer service is top notch which is hard to find anymore. When I visited their shop they showed/explained to me every part that needed replaced/rebuilt. They fixed my BMW and let me know of every affordable option. I will definitely return and recommend them to every one.

I've taken my vehicles here for regular maintenance and servicing. Was greeted promptly and felt like they took the time to properly diagnose the problem. Appreciated the fact they called before performing any maintenance to let me know of costs. Overall great experience and would recommend especially if you are looking for a good trustworthy mechanic as it seems harder to come by them now a days.

I recently took my 2006 Volvo into Dave's due to a noise coming from the front right tire and the AC blowing warm after 15 minutes. I received a call from Dave's telling me they had identified the issue and also found another problem with the timing belt to the tune of about $2,000. I took their advice, paid and had the work done. I picked my car up and to my surprise after 15 minutes the AC began running hot again and the noise was still there. I also noticed a huge problem with the transmission at this point so I decided to take it to Les Schwab to fix the noise. $600 later they replaced a bearing which Dave claimed to do but apparently they like to replace the wrong one and charge you. After my AC continued running hot I took my car back to Dave's and explained that again after 15 minutes it's warm. I get a call saying it's blowing a cool 68 degrees and to pick it up which I do and guess what? Blows cold for 15 and then gets hot. I took it in for a third time and the manager Keith had the audacity to charge me $89 for a diagnostic on an issue they hadn't resolved. Needless to say we had some pretty heated words and I left my car. I received a call from Dave and it was the most unprofessional business experience of my life. He yelled, I yelled back and he put me on hold twice while I was in mid sentence. Dave then quoted me another almost $2k. At this point I was done and gave in to have the work done and felt entirely taken advantage of. I have since received a call from Dave asking me to take down my yelp review since the issue was fixed after 3 visits and $4600 including the work I had to get elsewhere because they failed. Not a chance, this is the worst mechanic and business I have ever dealt with. I will make sure every social media and review site receives feedback from me to save anyone else from this sham. Please keep away from this place.

While the work gets done, the process is horrible. They always underbid on the estimate to get your business - then continually add in additional costs they "find" as the work progresses. By the time you're done you are almost twice the price of the original quote. Even when they tell you the job is complete and give you a final price they come up with more costs when you pick up the vehicle. Save yourself a lot of time and money and go anywhere else!
